Luke “PSYCH” Layman is a combat-proven fighter pilot, accomplished strategist, and the founder and CEO of Vector Solutions. With more than two decades of experience in aviation, joint operations, and leadership, Luke brings a mission-first mindset shaped by real-world combat and high-consequence decision-making.

His aviation career began in the A-10 Warthog, where he served as a Senior Pilot and Forward Air Controller (Airborne) across the U.S., South Korea, and multiple deployed locations. He later served as an exchange officer with the U.S. Marine Corps, leading as Chief of the Tactical Air Control Party and as the lead instructor for the Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) schoolhouse in Coronado, CA. He continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

Luke’s leadership is rooted in clarity, discipline, and a deep respect for the mission. He knows what’s at stake for both warfighters and civilian partners—and leads with the expectation that excellence is the standard.

He holds a B.S. from NC State and a Master of Science in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle with a focus in Aerospace Management. Luke is a former NDIA North Carolina Board Member and active member of the Charleston Defense Contractors Association.

Brendon “Bart” Bartholomew is the President of Vector Solutions and a seasoned military and business leader with over two decades of operational experience. A U.S. Air Force Reserve Colonel and former active-duty special operations officer, he brings a uniquely strategic lens to the intersection of technology, mission execution, and workforce development.

Brendon’s military career spans from the cockpit of the AC-130U gunship to leading combat airlift operations in the C-17A Globemaster III. He has held key command and staff roles across U.S. and allied operations, including as Squadron Commander of a premier special operations aviation unit, Liaison to the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Director of the Air Force’s first Combat Development Directorate, and Deputy Wing Commander.

Since joining Vector Solutions in 2016, Brendon has led the company through tremendous growth by combining mission-focused leadership with a relentless drive for innovation. His work in defense contracting, emerging tech integration, and agile workforce development has positioned Vector as a trusted partner across multiple commands and agencies.

Brendon is passionate about building high-performance teams, empowering the next generation of defense professionals, and ensuring our warfighters have the tools and training to succeed in an increasingly complex battlespace.

He holds a Bachelors. in Political Science from Arizona State University and a Master of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is an active member of the Airlift/Tanker Association and the Air Commando Association.
